CSTS-09 Upgrade Free to Existing CSTS Certificate Holders June 3rd, 2010

The ACSA has released a new version of CSTS-09 with new video, graphics and new and updated course content. All students who have completed CSTS v3.2 between Jan. 1st, 2004 and October 31st, 2010 and have an ACSA registered completion certificate will be able to take this online course free of charge. Students who complete the upgrade course will receive a certificate from the ACSA.

Construction Safety Training System - CSTS-09 Now Available May 25th, 2010

CSTS-09 Now Selling. All new sales of CSTS will be on the new version for all customers starting today. All existing CSTS v3.2 owners will be contacted in the next few weeks to discuss and plan the conversion of their to the new CSTS-09 program. The new CSTS-09 program will require a Proctor to activate the tests at the end of each lesson.

CSTS-09 Soon to Be Released October 8, 2009

The Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) is a general construction safety awareness program for workers in the construction industry. STS was first released in 1995 and soon after adopted by the buyers of construction in Alberta as a pre-requisite for gate/site access. CSTS-09 is the ACSA’s latest, fully updated program encompassing current safety practices and computer technologies.

CSTS-09 has 15 lesson modules which include 82 topics that explain then test the students knowledge of the concepts presented. Upon completion with a 100% pass rate, CSTS students receive a certification, which also includes "Generic WHMIS Worker" training. The program is self paced with the average completion time approximately 5 – 6½ hours. CSTS is available at a number of facilities across Alberta for individuals to obtain their training. Companies may purchase seat packages ranging from 5 to 250 seats at a time to setup in-house training for their employees. (CSTS-09 meets IRP 16 Standard)
