The Data Transfer Utility component is used to extract student information from the database and compress it into a compact file that can be e-mailed to us for processing and certification.
Steps for data export:
- [i] Open your START menu --> All Programs -->
ACSA Export Version II --> Export Version II
(Note: if you are unable to find the above shortcut, make sure you installed the Data Transfer Utility from the SETUPS AND GUIDES cd) - [ii] A pop up window will appear with two blank fields. You need to contact us for the Station Code . The Station Name is the name of your organization. Once the Station Code and Name are entered, click the SAVE button.(Note: This step is only needed the first time you run the data export utility)
- [iii] A larger window (yellow color) is presented with your Station Code and Station Name. Click the button labeled Export Data to ACSA. A successful export will be notified by a message stating "File export was a success! Please send the disk to the ACSA immedately ". Click OK and close the window.
- [iv] Go to your Local Drive C:\ACSA folder. Inside you will find a zipped file with the same name as your Station Code (example: CS0000A.zip). After several exports you will find there are more than one of these files. If you have been sending us files on a regular basis, all we need is the latest one you've exported. Verify when the file was created/modified by checking its file properties.
Email the latest file to the e-Learning Department
*** The Data Transfer Utility will only function correctly on a stand alone workstation installation, not on a network installation. If you are having problems exporting the database file or are in a Networked environment, you must send us(via e-mail or regular mail) a copy of the database file itself. The default location of the STD_CBT.mdb file is C:/Safe-T-Disk/Database folder. ***
