The CSTS software package can be installed on a stand alone workstation or in a networked environment.

Before proceeding, verify that the following minimum hardware requirements are met and that you have full administrative rights to the workstation(s).

The recommended minimum platform requirements are: Pentium II CPU, 64 Mb of RAM, SVGA monitor, 640x480x16 bit graphics card, 4x CD-ROM, sound card with speakers or headphones, Microsoft Windows NT/98SE/2000/XP Professional operating system, 50 Mb of free hard drive space.

Before you begin installation, temporarily disable any anti virus software.

1) Standalone Workstation Installation:


Install the necessary components in the following order:

*** DO NOT install the RSTS v2.0 component ***

Once the installation is complete, contact us at [780] 453 - 3311 (toll free within Alberta 1 [800] 661 - 2272) for a licence key.

2) Recommended Network Installation:

On your Server, follow the procedure outlined for the workstation installation above. Omit step [iv], Installation of the Data Transfer Utility, as this component will not function for this type of installation.

On each training workstation mapped to the server, install the UMS and CSTS components, and run the NETSETUP.EXE from the cd. (located in [CD drive]:\ UMS\NETSETUP folder).

Once this installation step is completed, contact us for the licence key.
